Bernadette Hawkes is an internet radio presenter, DJ and blogger.

She is passionate about music all her life. Having grown up and lived in London for most of her life, she was influenced by the multicultural population and their music backgrounds. She came to Margate in 2012. The Happening, radio show is a mixture of eclectic music genres and/or themed shows, which include #soul #funk #reggae #ska #gospel #jazz  and more. She has provided background and foreground music for art galleries including the Turner Contemporary, Margate and the Horsebridge Gallery, Whitstable. She enjoys writing about the music in her show which is usually published after a show is aired.
